Top Gen Roofing completed a full shingle roof replacement on the main house, featuring IKO Dynasty algae-resistant architectural shingles. The project included full tear-off, new white 1.5” drip edge, RhinoRoof U-20 synthetic underlayment, Tarco MS-300 Ice-N-Water shield, new flashing, and Lomanco OmniRidge Pro ventilation. IKO hip and ridge caps were also installed. Additionally, a separate low-slope section was outfitted with a peel-and-stick SBS cap sheet system over mechanically attached base sheets. Fifteen sheets of CDX plywood were included for deck replacement.
The property included both a standard pitched roof and a low-slope section—each requiring a different roofing system. The challenge was to coordinate material selection, ventilation solutions, and proper deck preparation for both roof types, all while ensuring long-term performance and aesthetic continuity.
Top Gen Roofing tailored a dual-solution approach: IKO Dynasty shingles for the main roof and a Mule-Hide SBS peel-and-stick cap sheet system for the low-slope area. We ensured proper ventilation using a Lomanco OmniRidge Pro vent and installed flashing to all penetrations. With 15 sheets of CDX plywood included for deck integrity and full debris removal upon completion, the result was a clean, durable roofing system that offers long-term protection and peace of mind.
