Top Gen Roofing completed a full replacement of the main house roof using Atlas Pinnacle architectural shingles. The project included complete tear-off, installation of white 1.5” drip edge, Atlas WeatherMaster Ice-N-Water shield, Summit 60 synthetic underlayment, HP42 starter shingles, and chimney counterflashing on both upper and lower roofs. The team also replaced 48 sheets of 7/16″ OSB plywood due to decking damage. Proper ridge ventilation was added using the Atlas True Ridge system, and all hips and ridges were finished with Pro Cut Ridge caps. The project is backed by 20-year material and labor warranties.
Upon roof removal, extensive decking damage was uncovered—48 sheets required replacement due to rot. This level of damage, though hidden during the initial inspection, posed a critical risk to the long-term stability and waterproofing of the new roofing system.
Top Gen Roofing acted quickly to replace all 48 sheets of compromised decking with new 7/16” OSB, ensuring a solid and safe foundation for the new Atlas Pinnacle system. Enhanced weather barriers, flashing, and ridge ventilation were installed for optimal performance. The result is a strong, resilient roof system built to withstand Upstate New York’s weather while backed by long-term warranties.
