Project Overview

Top Gen Roofing replaced the main house roof using Atlas Pinnacle architectural shingles. The project involved a complete tear-off of the existing roofing system down to the decking, installation of white 1.5” drip edge, Atlas Ice-N-Water shield, Summit 60 synthetic underlayment, and HP42 starter shingles. Proper flashing was added to all penetrations. Ventilation was upgraded with a True Ridge vent, and ridge caps were installed. Eight sheets of 7/16″ OSB were used to replace rotted decking. Work included debris cleanup and is backed by manufacturer and 20-year labor warranties.

Challenge

During tear-off, multiple sections of the roof deck were discovered to be compromised by moisture damage. These issues, undetectable during the initial inspection, required immediate attention to ensure a secure and lasting roof installation.

Solution

Top Gen Roofing replaced 8 sheets of damaged 7/16” OSB decking to restore the roof’s structural soundness. The team then installed a complete Atlas roofing system with reinforced moisture protection and ventilation. The project was executed on schedule with transparent communication around all additional repairs. The result is a clean, warrantied roof that enhances both protection and curb appeal.
