Top Gen Roofing completed a full shingle roof replacement using IKO Dynasty algae-resistant architectural shingles. The project included removal of existing materials down to the decking, installation of white 1.5” drip edge, Tarco MS-300 Ice-N-Water shield, RhinoRoof U-20 underlayment, Leading Edge Plus starter shingles, and flashing for all penetrations. Ventilation was upgraded with a Lomanco OmniRidge Pro ridge vent. IKO hip and ridge caps were installed for added durability. The system is protected by manufacturer and 20-year labor warranties.
The project required full removal of the existing roof, with potential for hidden decking damage that could affect the roof’s structural integrity. Multiple layers of old roofing materials could also require additional labor and disposal, increasing complexity and time on site.
